An adequate description of obsessive love in borderlines. But it comes off as also strangely misogynistic and I can't help but feel that the author is encouraging pathological patterns of belief and behavior on the part of the "victim" who plays his own important part in this dysfunctional psychodrama. A more useful analysis would be hardnosed not just about the borderline, but about role-playing the "rescuer" and what narcissistic needs the borderline is responding to and feeding.
