There is a great section here on how to make yourself feel better but it even goes a step further and gives advice on how to keep feeling better after you have overcome your mental health issues. Lengthy read but well worth your time.
I think this article had some good stress coping skills. At my other job, the legal dept in Finland decided on this new policy of taking down illegal content that had me working 13 hours, then sleeping on the couch 4 hours, then working 7 hours to clean up their mess and stay current. I got so stressed from doing this twice, that when a kid called me and said he was behind a retro that I was trying to take down, I asked for his personal information for the legal dept to sue him. This was the first time in 4 years at this company that I ever asked a kid for personal information-- which as everyone knows-- is THE number one safety rule on the internet. Don't give it out. I thought I was going to vomit. And I wrote that in an email to my bosses, and they realized. OK, Barbara's working too hard. She is cracking. Give her two days off. And so they did. But if you get too stressed, it's going to come out frontways if you're honest about it, or sideways if you try to do everything and be superwoman. We can't be superwoman. Anyway, enough of my life. ;-PPPPP
